Description: This course will allow participants to learn and practice in an outdoor setting the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace and prepare individuals to act as recognized Leave No Trace Trainers from the LNT Center for Outdoor Ethics. The training includes 16 hours of instruction and overnight camping in a wilderness setting. As part of the Trainer Course curriculum, participants will be required to teach one of the Leave No Trace principles to the group. The first day of this course will begin with classroom instruction, and then will travel to our trailhead (a one hour drive) and backpack two miles to our campsite. On the second day we will break camp, hike out and return to base.
Your registration fee includes meals, transportation to the trail head, team and personal equipment (if needed), all classroom materials, a Leave No Trace starter kit, and your first year Leave No Trace dues. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Gear: Please bring gear necessary for an overnight backpacking trip. A packing list will be provided upon registration. If you need equipment, please make arrangements in advance with your instructor.
