Volunteers assist Camptown in our mission to lead youth to a better path in a variety of roles. We at Camptown want to provide a volunteer experience that not only helps further the mission of Camptown, but is also rewarding and fulfilling for our volunteers. The goal of our volunteer program at Camptown is:
- To provide opportunity for individuals to give meaningful expression to their own values, motivations, and beliefs by directing personal, unpaid contributions of their time and effort toward fulfillment of Camptown’s mission.
- To develop the capacities of volunteers to be of service, and provide a means by which to gain experience.
- To enhance community awareness and support of Camptown’s programs and purposes.
- To enrich Camptown’s philosophy and knowledge through partnership with volunteers of different backgrounds, occupations, and perspectives.
Volunteer Opportunities
Board or Committee Members
Join the Camptown Board of Directors or one of our five active committees (Development, Volunteer & Personnel, Marketing, Finance, and Prayer). Committees
Trip Mentors
Trip Mentors work directly with youth. Join Camptown staff on a day, overnight, or week long trip. Trip Mentors must complete a Camptown Volunteer Questionnaire and may be required to complete a background check including criminal history. Trip Mentors

Media and Web Support
Help build Camptown’s community awareness and inform the public of the services that we offer. Volunteers can help with media awareness by preparing and distributing press releases, ensuring events are promoted through the media, maintaining the media database and/or maintaining Camptown’s web site.
Administration/Clerical
You don’t have to be an outdoors person to help, we have need with indoor work as well. Volunteers with the gift of administration can help by printing mailings, labeling and stuffing envelopes, copying training classes, and helping with our quarterly newsletter.
Maintenance
Volunteers can help with the care and maintenance of our equipment and vehicles. Equipment & vehicles need to be checked and cleaned after each trip. General office cleaning is also needed year round.
