Camptown is known for providing excellent wilderness adventures for youth, but did you know that Camptown also provides adventures for the entire family? Whether you are looking for an adventure for your family or a group of friends, Camptown has something for you.  Experience the adventure of a life time and help support  Camptown at the same time.

Backpacking the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

You have heard all of the commercials and seen the billboards, so now it’s time to experience Pure Michigan for yourself. This 6 day guided trip will take you into the wilds of Northern Michigan, to experience the splendor of the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. Spend 4 days in the back country, hiking 30 miles, of some of the most spectacular shoreline in America. During the trip you will hike past a lighthouse, waterfalls, rivers, 300’ cliffs, and amazing rock formations. Once off the trail take time to recoup and refresh in Historical Mackinaw City. Reflect on the past as you explore the town, with options of touring Fort Michilimackinac, climbing a light house tower, or buying something special to remember the trip. This adventure is a great intro to backpacking, but still exciting for the enthusiast. All skill levels are welcomed.  Bring your own gear or let us provide it for you.  The trip cost includes transportation from the Camptown office, and food while on the trail.  Day by Day Itinerary.
